A Little Bit of Everything

People often ask us, "What do you do at CGC when we're not doing camp?". Perhaps a more appropriate question would be, "What don't we do?". For one, we've been busy all winter working with groups that want to host programs on our site.

We'll be offering two programs in partnership with other like-minded organizations that value strong families, connection, and healthy relationships with ourselves and each other. The first is Overcoming Barriers Family Camp, which is a psycho-educational program for families going through high-conflict divorce. The second is Camp Outright for queer youth and their youth allies.

On the musical side, we look forward to hosting Maiden Vermont, the Northeast Heritage Music Camp and the Green Mountain Horn Retreat.

On the community-building front, we'll be hosting SerVermont's retreat as well as field days for Robinson Elementary School of Starksboro, VT and Beeman Elementary School of New Haven, VT. In addition, Middlebury College will hold a leadership training at CGC in August.

We are also pleased to be hosting several retreats that highlight the wellness component of our core values. In addition to our February yoga retreat with Lonnie Poland, we'll be hosting another yoga retreat with Evolution Yoga, a meditation retreat with Liz Fukushima, and a mindfulness retreat with Nancy McKenzie in the coming months.

On top of these great programs, many happy couples will start a new chapter their lives together here this summer, and we look forward to building a lifelong connection with those who celebrate their union with us.

It's safe to say that what we do a little bit of everything when we're not running Camp Common Ground! We'd be thrilled to add your ideas to the little bit of everything that we do. We have year-round space available for programs and retreats, and we'd love to hear from you at 800.430.2667 or at info@cgcvt.org.
