2025 DATES
June 28 – July 1

This was our first time at Camp Kaleidoscope and it was refreshing to visit a place where I (we) didn’t feel judged. The grounds were beautiful. We really appreciated the flexibility with food and that we could bring our own.”

Camp Kaleidoscope

The care your family needs to make memories.

We know that family matters more than anything to you. We also acknowledge that having a child with autism doesn’t change this priority – but it can make family time challenging and less relaxing. The goal of Camp Kaleidoscope is very simple: to provide a relaxing summer camp experience where families affected by autism can rejuvenate, connect with other families, and create positive memories together.

Camp Kaleidoscope

Support

On the first day of camp, your family will meet your very own Family Partner, a college student in an autism-related field who is here to help facilitate camp life for your family. During the day they provide a helping hand to support your family retreat. Families who have an aide are also encouraged to bring an aide to camp at no charge.

Activities

There’s time for everything at Camp Kaleidoscope, and every day offers new possibilities for every member of the family, together and as individuals. While all the kids spend the morning completely engaged in nature, creativity, age-appropriate games, and supervised, unstructured play, adults have several dedicated hours to take a class, take a hike, or just take a nap.

In the afternoons and evenings, families come together rejuvenated and full of stories from their mornings. Camp staff facilitate camp-wide activities where you can get to know other families who share a similar point of view.

Camp K is an amazing experience! It is the one place where you know everyone ‘gets’ what it means to raise a child on the spectrum. Our family can just relax and be ourselves.”

Lodging & Grounds

Common Ground Center is a 700-acre sustainable campus that offers the beauty of the Vermont outdoors with all of the facilities and amenities to make your stay with us convenient and comfortable. Tucked into this green landscape, you’ll find beautiful barn spaces that double as classrooms and stages, playgrounds, hiking trails, sport fields and courts, hammocks, a veggie garden, and much more.

Your family’s cabin will be a cozy basecamp that’s tucked away in the woods, but still super close to all the action and amenities. Each unique cabin is close to the dining hall and the shared bathhouse, which offers indoor and outdoor showers, electricity, and flush toilets. You may also choose to tent camp on provided platforms or in the open field.

Get the lay of the land and see photos of our lodging and grounds.

The blessing of Camp Kaleidoscope helps us to experience the joy autism can bring when the world cares enough to create a space for us.”
