This is a great place to gather.

Whether you’re an organization looking for a fresh conference space, an instructor planning a yoga retreat in the mountains, or a family that has outgrown the backyard for a reunion, consider Common Ground Center as the destination for your next group gathering.

We are well equipped to host a variety of needs and group sizes. If you have a large group or are planning a conference, you can rent our whole site exclusively. We also offer non-exclusive rentals for small groups, an economical option that’s ideal for non-profits and families. Our a la carte menu of spaces will allow you to have exactly what you need to make your event a success.

Our Eco-Lodge is open year-round for small groups and is ideal for winter retreats, while other features of the site are only available in the warmer months. Common Ground Center is conveniently located between Burlington and Middlebury, Vermont, just off Route 116, with lodging available on site.

Gathering spaces

Hay Barn

With exposed beams and a rustic, cathedral-like feel, this tastefully renovated barn provides an ideal spot for indoor activities that require an open space or split up into more intimate groups using break-out.

For smaller groups, this unique, sustainably built structure features both a meeting space and eight guest rooms and is available to rent year-round.

Dining Hall

Our largest indoor space can seat up to 165 people for meals or conference gatherings. This building also has a large, screened porch ideal for break out spaces.

You can choose from many open fields all with breathtaking views of the Hogback and Green Mountains for your gatherings and activities.

Additional breakout spaces are available, our staff is adept at helping you use the site to match your needs.
